If you are equal parts environmentalist and Whole Foods lover, we’re about to make your day.
Whole Foods Market hosts a quarterly Community Giving Day where they team up with local nonprofits, and this month it’s the Arkansas chapter of Leave No Trace. That means that at Whole Foods on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 5 percent of the day’s net sales will go to Leave No Trace, an organization whose mission is “to sustain healthy, vibrant lands for all to enjoy, now and for future generations,” according to local chapter advocate Rob Stephens.
Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics was created to educate people on responsible enjoyment of the outdoors, “making good decisions to protect the world around you.” Funds raised on Jan. 11 will go toward programming and educational materials in the Little Rock community.
“One of Whole Foods Market’s core values is to serve and support our local communities by partnering with organizations like the Leave No Trace Arkansas chapter,” said Sara Fulton-Koerbling, community liaison at Whole Foods Market’s Little Rock store. “Another core value is to practice and advance environmental stewardship. Our Community Giving Day supporting Leave No Trace is a perfect match.”
