You’ve got a chance to get in a good cardio workout this weekend while helping out a good cause Saturday.
The Arkansas Foundation for Skin Cancer and the Big Dam Bridge Foundation are holding their annual Twilight 5K Run/Walk at Murray Park to help raise awareness about skin cancer. In addition to the race, there is tons of fun stuff to do while you’re there.
Some of that fun stuff includes live music, food and children’s activities. Also, there will be free skin cancer screenings before the race starts.
Early registration for the race is set for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at Rock City Running, at 10300 N. Rodney Parham, Suite D3. The cost is $25. Same-day registration will be available from 5:30-7 p.m. at Murray Park. The cost then is $30.
You can also register online at www.ArkansasRunner.com. For more on the 5K, call Christy Frank at (870) 219-9464 or email ARFoundationForSkinCancer@gmail.com.
