Ron Robinson Theater to Reopen, Launch New Throwback Movie Series

Downtown is getting its movie theater back.

The Ron Robinson Theater, part of the Central Arkansas Library System, will reopen its doors to the public in August, and it already has a full lineup on its plate, including the WellRed Comedy Tour that is quickly selling out.

After more than a year of virtual screenings, the theater is coming back strong with the return of its popular film series like Terror Tuesdays and Movies Meant for the Big Screen, and is debuting the new Thirsty Throwback Thursdays series taking advantage of the River Market entertainment district to host pre-show happy hours in the alleyway.

To give you a taste of what’s in store, here’s what’s on the docket for August.
