“Jim Murray’s Whiskey Bible,” if you’re unaware, prides itself on being the world’s leading whiskey guide. It compiles and ranks hundreds of whiskies from around the world with roughly 4,500 notes and observations about all of them.
The 2015 edition awarded the title of “2015 U.S. Micro Whiskey of the Year” to our very own Rock Town Distillery for their Arkansas Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey with a monumental score of 96.5 out of 100.
In his review, Murray called it “unquestionably one of the great micro distillery bourbons of all time,” raving that it would “put Arkansas, and Rock Town in particular, on the world whiskey map.”
Everyone at the downtown Little Rock distillery is super excited, as they should be, including Phil Brandon, founder and head distiller.
“This is an unbelievable accomplishment,” he said. “We are truly honored to have our whiskey judged by one of the world’s leading whiskey experts, Jim Murray, as the best whiskey of all the craft distilleries in the U.S. in this edition.”
The 2015 edition is currently available for preorder here. Until then, stop by the Rock Town Facebook page and give them the congrats they deserve.
Cheers!
