The first-ever Rock the Runway fashion show was held at Savoy 1620 and kicked off a partnership between the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute and Little Rock-based nonprofit Fighting Fancy. Funds raised from the show were divided evenly between the two and will benefit patient support services for women battling various forms of cancer. Sponsored by Little Rock Soiree magazine and co-chaired by Allyson Pittman and Heather Owens, the show featured professional models and cancer survivor models strutting the runway wearing looks from a number of local boutiques, including B. Barnett, Beyond Cotton II, Dillard’s, Indigo, Lavender, Proposals Boutique, Robersonís Fine Jewelry, Scarlet, The Independent and Vestaís. Anthony Lucas and Beth Hunt emceed the event, which included a reception with a silent auction, hors doeuvres and cocktails, a live auction, the fashion show and an exciting after-party.
