On June 19, cancer survivors and professional models hit the runway for the second Rock the Runway, a fashion show of strength, benefiting the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute at UAMS and Fighting Fancy. The event kicked off with a reception at the River Market Pavilion, followed by a runway show featuring looks from almost 20 local boutiques modeled by both cancer survivors and professional models. Breast cancer survivor Penny Burkhalter was honorary chairperson. The event included a special in memoriam for Corrie Gross Bechtelheimer, who lost her battle with cancer in early June. Alyse Eady and Anthony Lucas served as event emcees. Sponsors included Little Rock Soirée, Dr. Christie Beck, CWP Productions, Dr. D.J. Dailey, Rush and Linda Harding, Natalie and Win Rockefeller, Delta Dental and Party Time Rental and Events. After the show, guests enjoyed an after-party at Cache Restaurant & Lounge.
