The River City Men’s Chorus is back with their free annual Christmas concert extravaganza. Holiday! 2018 will be held on Sunday, Dec. 16 at 3 p.m., Monday, Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. and Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. at Second Presbyterian Church.
This year, special guest and soprano Mary Ann Robinson will be joining the River City Men’s Chorus as they sing holiday classics with their impressive range of voices. Holiday! 2018 will also introduce a new suite for Christmas titled “The Friendly Beasts” arranged by Gwyneth Walker specifically for the River City Men’s Chorus.
Sixteen years ago, the River City Men’s Chorus debuted their first concert, Holiday! 2002. The men’s chorus was founded after a few musically minded folks realized central Arkansas lacked a traditional male chorus. Thirty-five men decided to remedy that, and the River City Men’s Chorus was created. Since 2002, the group has performed in places all over the world including the Vatican City in Italy, Berlin, Prague and Vienna.
