Calling all country music fans. The Old State House Museum will host rising country music star and Conway native Erin Enderlin for a free concert on Friday, March 1 at 7 p.m.
Recently named one of CMT’s “Next Women of Country” and Arkansas Country Music’s “Songwriter of the Year,” Enderlin is currently on tour promoting her second album, “Whiskeytown Crier.” The album — a concept album that tells the tales of women in a fictional American small town — features Chris Stapleton, Randy Houser and Ricky Skaggs.
Enderlin is also an in-demand songwriter, having written songs for country music greats like Alan Jackson, Lee Ann Womack, Luke Bryan and Joey + Rory. She was recently named Nashville Scene’s runner-up for “Best Singer-Songwriter” in Nashville behind Jason Isbell.
Doors will open for the concert at 6:30 p.m. Along with free admission, guests can enjoy beer and soft drinks. After the concert, Enderlin will donate the guitar she used when writing “Monday Morning Church” for Alan Jackson to the Old State House Museum. The guitar will be included in the museum’s collection of Arkansas music artifacts.
