Rhythm in the Rock Brings Music & Food Trucks Every Sunday This Month

Rhythm in the Rock, a food and music mini festival, will take over the outdoor space at the Red & Blue Events Venue in downtown Little Rock every weekend in June.

“This is our effort to support Little Rock’s music scene, our city’s food truck businesses, nonprofits and to provide fun outdoor activities for families,” said Roby Brock, co-owner of the venue. “After a year of the pandemic and with improving conditions and warmer weather, we wanted to encourage folks to return to a sense of normal with their entertainment options. We hope Sunday afternoons and early evenings will give families a great option to get back out in the community safely and in an enjoyable, laid-back way.”

The family-friendly festival will take place from 4-8 p.m. every Sunday afternoon with a different musical act taking the stage. Performers include Amy LaVere, Will Sexton and Richie Johnson on June 6; John Paul Keith on June 13; Salty Dogs and Isaac Alexander on June 20; and Dayvsnn (formerly known as Davison) from season 14 of “The Voice,” as well as Cats & Dogs on June 27.

A variety of food trucks will rotate through each week, and there will be plenty of kid activities including art and games. Various nonprofits will also be on site to help raise awareness for their causes.

There is no cost of attendance for the Sunday afternoon festivals, and free parking is available in the area. The venue is located at 1415 W. Seventh St.
