The iconic rock musical “Rent” is bringing its 25th anniversary farewell tour to the Robinson Center for a one-night-only performance on Tuesday, Nov. 16.
With its message of love, “Rent” took the world by storm a quarter of a century ago, quickly becoming a cultural touchstone and cementing its place in the theater lexicon. The show not only won a Tony Award for best musical, but also the Pulitzer Prize in drama.
“Rent” has toured almost continuously since its debut in 1996, has been translated into every major language and has been performed in 27 countries across six continents.
This tour, known as the “Farewell Season of Love,” is theatergoers’ final opportunity to experience the celebrated touring production.
