Nothing says the holidays quite like an epic RazorRock weekend featuring back-to-back Arkansas Razorback basketball games and plenty of fun at Simmons Bank Arena on Saturday, Dec. 21.
“Argenta loves the Razorbacks basketball teams,” said Chris Kent, executive director of the Argenta Downtown Council. “We want to encourage all fans attending the games on Saturday to come early and stay late and enjoy all of the things downtown has to offer.”
The women’s basketball team will square off against the Little Rock Trojans at 1 p.m., followed by the men’s basketball game versus the Valapariso Crusaders at 7 p.m. Between games, fans have the chance to meet Tusk V, the official mascot of the Razorbacks, in front of Simmons Bank Arena from 4-7 p.m. (weather permitting). At 5:30 p.m., the Razorback spirit squads and Hogwild Band will host a pep rally on the west side of the arena in front of the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame.
Businesses in the Argenta neighborhood are encouraging fans to come early and stay late with a variety of food and drink specials before and after the games.
