Reinvented Vintage is a boutique store that specializes in bringing new life to worn or dated furniture. We sell two lines of specialty furniture paints and supplies, provide custom painting services and teach painting workshops. We also offer a wide selection of gift items, home décor and original art – most of which is handmade by local artists. Reinvented Vintage has grown from just a dream, to a tiny rented space in a marketplace, to a small studio and now to a retail store!

PRESSING QUESTIONS:

Why do you love your career?
Each day brings something different! My responsibilities include everything from serving our customers to managing the bookkeeping and inventory. But, I also get to feed my creative side by painting furniture, displaying merchandise and teaching workshops. It’s the perfect balance!

If you weren’t doing this job, what would you be doing?
I am proud of the work that I did as an attorney representing juveniles and adults in the criminal justice system. If I didn’t own Reinvented Vintage, I would be practicing law or serving in public office.

What’s a fun fact about you that would surprise people?
I love musical theater!  The “Wicked” and “Glee” Pandora stations are constantly playing in the store!

Knowing what you know now, what’s the best advice you could have given yourself when you were first starting out?
Be content with slow growth and baby steps. Allow yourself some grace to let the business grow organically.

How did you know this is what you wanted to do?
I think my creativity was always there, but it had been buried. Something sparked inside when I painted my dark, dated kitchen cabinets and the room was instantly transformed with a little paint and elbow grease.
