As president of Verizon’s South Central Region, I oversee our sales, operations, finance and strategic development across a four-state region. My 13 years of experience in the wireless industry include a broad range of roles within Verizon, from coast to coast, including a position at our company’s corporate headquarters in New Jersey. For me, the big picture was to experience every aspect of the business and return home to lead the South Central Region. I am now in my dream job!
PRESSING QUESTIONS:
Why do you love your career?
At Verizon, I work with the latest technology and smartest people in the industry. The collaboration and innovation excite me, but my motivation is hearing how our customers are using the technology to make their lives easier or more fun!
What are your goals for the future?
Coming home to be a part of this great region is the greatest moment in my career. My goal is to deliver a great experience and complete satisfaction to the customers, employees and communities I have the privilege to serve.
Knowing what you know now, what’s the best advice you could have given yourself when you were first starting out?
Remember resilience is the key to success. Seek out new experiences and perspectives. Be insatiably curious, authentic and always have fun.
How do you define success?
Everyone defines success differently but, for me, it can be summed up as what makes you happy and gives you purpose. Passion pushes you, but purpose pulls you.
Who is your role model?
There are numerous people who have mentored and inspired me. One I want to personally thank is my mother, Barb Beatty, for her fierce work ethic, integrity, grit and confidence. What else could you look for in a role model? Thanks Mom!
