Walking the family timberland in south Arkansas with his dad and grandfather, Ray Ellen discovered his love for real estate. He began his real estate career in 2006 in northwest Arkansas as a marketing professional, marketing more than $49 million in property that year. He became a licensed Realtor in 2007, selling his first listing in less than a day.
Now, as owner and founder of Pixel Properties with his partner Sarah Bailey, he is once again working hard for other agents and his clients. “We have created a real estate brokerage that acts more like a media company than a traditional brokerage,” Ellen says. “Not only are we advertising our listings, we are developing content around our communities and our agents, using analytics and data to distribute them.”
The “flashy-front end” is only half the story. The real differentiator is behind the scenes, perfecting what Ellen calls “the craft” of real estate. “I took notes on every transaction,” he says. “What made this one fantastic and what made this one a fantastic failure? That laid the foundation for the systems we have put in place to make the process of buying and selling as smooth as possible for our clients and agents.”
Since moving with his family back to central Arkansas in 2013, Ellen has consistently ranked among the top agents in sales volume. He and his talented team have received national recognition in the industry, speaking at conferences and appearing in shows and publications for mastering the art and science of real estate.
“I am passionate about helping people find home, and when you love what you do, you can make what is difficult look easy.”
