Growing up in Mountain Home, Ryan Caststeel never thought of becoming a lawyer but instead, wanted to earn an MBA and pursue a career in the corporate world. That path changed when his college business law professor suggested law school because he thought Caststeel would be an excellent attorney. Caststeel followed his professor’s advice and graduated from UA Little Rock’s Bowen School of Law with high honors. But not wanting to pass on his initial goal, Ryan earned his MBA after law school and was awarded the University of Central Arkansas College of Business Outstanding MBA Student.
Caststeel’s education, experience and expertise allows him to turn his clients’ challenges into opportunities and their opportunities into accomplishments. “We are in the business of solving our client’s challenges. Most of our clients’ challenges involve both business and legal issues, and so my philosophy is to provide guidance and advice from both perspectives,” he says. Caststeel’s clients include financial institutions, businesses, nonprofit organizations and individuals in both litigation and transactional matters in a wide array of areas including commercial lending and finance, creditor rights, corporate governance, regulatory, compliance, real estate, employment, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning and contract preparation, negotiation and review.
Caststeel’s dedication to solving his clients’ challenges also has been recognized by Super Lawyers, being named a Rising Star by that publication since 2012. When not working, Caststeel spends his time with wife, Allison, and their daughter, Rylann, watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball and their beloved UCA Bear football team. Also, Ryan is an adjunct instructor for UCA and has taught the MBA business law course for the College of Business since 2013.
