Sonia Eileen Fonticiella grew up in Paragould, a first-generation American and daughter to Cuban immigrants, where she learned to speak Spanish at home with her family. She graduated from Florida State University in 2006 and the University of Arkansas School of Law in 2009. She founded Fonticiella Law, PLLC in 2011.

In 2012, Fonticiella moved to Little Rock and was accepted into the Criminal Justice Act Panel Mentor Program offered by the Federal Defender Office of the Eastern District of Arkansas. It was through this process that her love for federal criminal defense was solidified.

Fonticiella’s practice now focuses on federal and state criminal defense with a growing white-collar defense practice. She also practices family law and is a domestic relations attorney ad litem appointed to represent children in family law cases.

Being in a small law practice allows Fonticiella to be more accessible for her clients. She prides herself on providing personalized services. This means giving the client legal advice and direction they need to make important life choices.

She has the honor of being a member of the Arkansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Arkansas Association of Women Lawyers, the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association and the Arkansas Bar Association. Sonia is also a board member for the Pulaski County Planning Board and is co-chair of Pridecorps LGBT Youth Center.

In her free time, Fonticiella enjoys spending time with her two young children and their dog Mr. Winston. In fact, you may even see Mr. Winston cuddling the clients at the office.
