Litigation

Randy Murphy is a senior managing partner with the law firm of Anderson, Murphy & Hopkins, L.L.P. He has successfully defended individuals and companies in civil litigation for over 28 years. Murphy’s practice has been statewide, and he has tried cases in practically every county in Arkansas. His litigation practice of law covers a wide range of areas, including personal injury defense, products liability, construction law, premises liability and environmental law. He also maintains an active workers’ compensation practice representing employers and insurance companies throughout the state.

Murphy has been selected to Mid-South Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers in America, Best Lawyers in Arkansas and Arkansas Top Lawyers. He also has received the highest rating in both ability and ethical standards, awarded by Martindale-Hubbell.

Away from work, he enjoys collecting and riding vintage motorcycles, particularly Harley Davidson and Indian models. Murphy is an avid kickboxer and physical fitness enthusiast who enjoys weight lifting.

Mariam Hopkins
Medical Malpractice Defense

Mariam Hopkins is a senior managing partner at Anderson, Murphy & Hopkins, L.L.P. where she has practiced since 1991. She practices primarily in the area of medical malpractice defense. Prior to beginning her current law practice, she served as a law clerk in the United States District Court for the late Judge Stephen Reasoner.

Hopkins has been named Best Lawyers’ Lawyer of the Year in medical malpractice law for defendants in 2013 and 2016, has been recognized as one of the Top 50 Women Lawyers in the Mid-South, and is regularly listed in Best Lawyers in America and Mid-South Super Lawyers. Along with being recognized by her peers and the Arkansas Supreme Court for her service to the legal community, she is an active member of numerous professional organizations including the American College of Trial Lawyers, American Inns of Court and International Society of Barristers. She is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Mariam is married to George Hopkins and has two sons, Clayton, 23 and Jacob, 20. She enjoys traveling, sports and spending time with family and friends.
