When Tasha Taylor began her first job after law school as a judicial law clerk for Arkansas Supreme Court Justice Robert L. Brown in August 2005, she already knew that she wanted to one day write appeals to that court. Little did she know that five years later, she would start what has since become one of the fastest growing appellate firms in Arkansas.
During Tasha’s two-year stint as a judicial law clerk, she learned two very important principles that are necessary to excel as an appellate lawyer. First, she learned the importance of complying with the court’s complex procedural rules. Second, she learned to view cases through the lens of an appellate judge, which has helped her hone her writing skills as an appellate attorney. Since entering private practice, she has been involved in nearly 70 appellate matters. This experience is the reason so many law firms refer their appeals to her firm.
Since founding Taylor & Taylor Law Firm, P.A. in 2010, Tasha and her law partner (and husband), Andy Taylor, have focused their appellate practice on complex civil appeals and family law appeals. Tasha and Andy also created and co-author the Arkansas Appeals Blog, which is devoted to developments in Arkansas’ state court appellate practice.
Tasha has been recognized by her colleagues and clients as a top appellate lawyer in Little Rock Soirée (2014–2015), Arkansas Life Reader’s Choice (2015), and Super Lawyers Rising Star (Mid-South 2015). She is also routinely invited to speak to her peers at continuing legal education classes on the topic of handling appeals in Arkansas State Courts.
When not at work, Tasha enjoys spending time with Andy and their daughter, Norah, visiting local restaurants and farmers markets, and traveling. Tasha and her family attend the Greater Little Rock campus of New Life Church.
