Mr. Alex Guynn concentrates his practice primarily in the areas of personal injury litigation and complex criminal defense litigation. Prior to joining Neely and Guynn, he worked for a major global retailer in Northwest Arkansas. “My time in corporate America was invaluable – I learned so much about running a successful business and customer service. I have applied the skills I learned in the private sector to my law practice,” he says.
Since returning to central Arkansas, Guynn has worked as a prosecutor and an attorney ad litem, during which time he helped hundreds of clients reunite with their parents. Additionally, he teaches at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in the political science department. Currently, Guynn is the public defender commission conflict attorney for Jefferson and Lincoln counties. He has litigated matters successfully in state and federal courts throughout Arkansas.
“I treat every client’s case as if they are a family member. My goal is to provide legal service with compassion. I understand that being charged with a criminal offense can be a frightening and traumatic experience and that you need someone representing you who appreciates your concerns and works tirelessly to get the best possible result,” he says. “This includes listening to and answering any questions you may have, exhaustive examination of the evidence in your case, interviewing any and all potential witnesses, and even retaining expert witnesses. This is the level of service I proudly provide to all of my clients.”
Guynn is very active in the community; he’s a lifetime member of the Arkansas Democratic Black Caucus and he sits on several boards, including the Jefferson County Drug Court Outreach Foundation, the Bare Earth Training Advancement of Jefferson County and the Valley Harvest Community Outreach Center. He is member of First Assembly of God in Pine Bluff.
