What does a typical day look like for you? The first item of the day is to update my checklist for what I will accomplish during the day. I check and respond to any client emails. We have a staff meeting Monday mornings and try to do a quick stand-up meeting during the week. I allocate 30 minutes to stay current on the latest ACA changes impacting our clients. I try to take a two-hour lunch, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.; this is a standing joke with my co-workers, but most lunches provide a personal, quality time with clients. I spend most of the afternoon dealing with issues and setting up appointments with prospective clients.

What makes your customer service outstanding? Real easy — we treat people the way we want to be treated.

Most often when doing financial planning for estate taxes, Guaranteed Universal Life insurance is placed in an Irrevocable Life Insurance Trust (ILIT), the life insurance proceeds, if correctly placed in an ILIT, are both protected from creditors and paid out estate tax free.
