Shine your shoes and stand up straight because President Bill Clinton is coming to town.
Into the Blue, the inaugural fundraiser for the Thea Foundation, will take place on Wednesday, May 13, at the Clinton Presidential Library, of course. Celebrating 13 years of championing the arts for Arkansas youth, President Clinton will be in attendance, just as he was for the Thea Foundation’s events formerly hosted in D.C.
“Since 2003, President Clinton has graciously hosted this private fundraising dinner in Washington D.C. He has been a dear, lifelong friend and very supportive of what the Foundation has accomplished,” Thea Foundation executive director Paul Leopoulos said. “However, over the years, many local patrons and friends have expressed interest in attending this event. The board and I felt that now was an ideal time to make the transition to Arkansas and allow other supporters to take part in what will be an amazing evening.”
The night kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with an exclusive cocktail hour with the President, followed by dinner in the Great Hall at 7:30. It wouldn’t be a Thea Foundation event without performances from their many scholarship winners, and guests will enjoy the likes of Broadway actor Jacob Watson, slam poet Alex Zhang, dancer Allison Stearns and more.
