It’s the question asked throughout the ages: Who run the world? And there’s one resounding answer: girls.
While the rest of us jam out to the queen, the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas is gearing up for its 18th annual Power of the Purse luncheon. Created to celebrate the power and potential of philanthropic women in the state, this year’s event will welcome to the stage Carol Coletta, senior fellow at American Cities Practice at The Kresge Foundation in Michigan.
This annual luncheon will also honor this year’s Woman in Business recipient Elise Mitchell, the Woman in Philanthropy recipient Angela Moody and the 1st Lady’s Woman in Public Service recipient Commissioner Colette D. Honorable.
Power of the Purse is slated for Friday, Sept. 23, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom at the Little Rock Marriott. Tickets are available now, but seating is limited, so make your reservations fast.
