For all you craft beer lovers out there, there are a few spots around Little Rock offering special brewski events this week just before St. Patrick’s Day takes over the capital city.
Here is the roundup:
- Crush Wine Bar, 318 N. Main St., North Little Rock: This North Little Rock hot spot is, of course, a place to sip your vino, but tonight (March 10), it’s all about beer. They are hosting a special tasting for Tommyknocker Brewery where the beer rep and John Lewis Wells (Mr. Beer Snob) will lead beer aficionados on a journey through these brewskis: Tommyknocker Maple Nut Brown, Tommyknocker Pick Axe IPA, Tommyknocker Cocoa Porter, Tommyknocker Oaked Butt Head Bock and Tommyknocker Hop Strike Black IPA. Try all these selections, plus sample Crush’s fine selection of cheeses and meats for just $15. Get more information here.
- Big Orange: Midtown, 207 N. University Ave., Little Rock: Starting at 4 p.m. Tuesday (March 11), the chic burger joint is hosting one of their most anticipated tappings. They have a rare keg of the acclaimed Belgian sour, Tilquin Gueuze. Fermented with spontaneous yeast, Tilquin is blended with 1, 2, and 3 year-old lambics to produce one of the best sours on the planet. Get more information here.
- Mellow Mushroom, 16103 Chenal Pwky., Little Rock: Stop by the scrumptious pizza palace Wednesday (March 12) to celebrate the release of Goose Island Beer Co. 312 Urban Pale Ale. There will be 312 specials all day long and 312 Urban Wheat and 312 Urban Pale Ale on draft all night. More information can be found here.
- Stone’s Throw Brewing, 402 E. Ninth St., Little Rock: To test your mind and your drinking skills, this little brewery in downtown Little Rock hosts a special #ArkiePubTrivia night at 6:30 p.m. every Thursday. There’s always a cool theme (last week, it was its monthly program Arkansongs edition), special brewskis on tap and a food truck parked outside for dinner or nibbles. Check out its Facebook page to get updates on this Thursday’s program!
- Colonial Wine & Spirits, 11200 W. Markham, Little Rock: The west Little Rock liquor store is hosting the first ever Brew Bracket, and central Arkansas beer fans and suds aficionados are encouraged to join the celebration. Four styles of craft beer will square off in this tournament style elimination contest whose winner will be determined by popular taste test. Stop by the store for the beer tastings– which will be held at its in-store bar– consecutive Saturdays from 1-4 p.m. with the champion crowned on April 5. Get more information here.
