Oscar de la Renta Exhibit Now on Display at Clinton Presidential Center

For all of the fashion fans and lovers of art, here is something you don’t want to miss — the new temporary exhibit “Oscar de la Renta: American Icon” on display now at the Clinton Presidential Center, 1200 President Clinton Ave., Little Rock.

This seminal fashion exhibition celebrates the world-renowned work and inspiring life of designer Oscar de la Renta. The exhibit features more than 30 of his iconic creations worn by leading arbiters of style, from First Ladies to Hollywood’s brightest stars.

It tells the story of the designer’s life, career, and impact on the fashion world through his original designs. In December 1998, then-First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton graced the cover of Vogue, the first time in history the magazine featured a sitting First Lady on its cover.

In the 1960s, Dominican-born Oscar de la Renta moved to the United States, where he launched his signature ready-to-wear label and quickly became known as a leading figure in international fashion design. His award-winning career spans five decades and he continues to produce an exceptional body of work – a testament to his enduring creative vision.
