The tormented wives of Henry VIII take the Robinson Center stage this fall with a mission: to "remix 500 years of historical heartbreak into an euphoric celebration of 21st century girl power."
You won’t want to miss this smash-hit musical that's taken over social media, but if you need more convincing, here are six reasons to grab your girls and see "Six."
The Songs
If you’re a concert lover, this show is for you. The Tony Award-winning musical score of "Six" ranges from pop hits to emotional ballads to rap and feels like more of a concert performed by your favorite '90s bands than it does a traditional Broadway show. Each of the six queens performs her own story as a song, and the music is inspired by icons like Beyonce, Ariana Grande, Adele, Rihanna and Alicia Keys.

"Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived" — "Six" is not your average history lesson. The fates of the wives come to life as each queen tells her own story, the real story of her time with Henry VIII. The notoriously fickle king divorced his first wife Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn was beheaded, Jane Seymour died during childbirth, he divorced Anne of Cleves, Katherine Howard was beheaded and his last wife, Catherine Parr, was the only one who didn’t die while married to the king or end in divorce.
The Styling
"Six" features Tony Award-winning costume design showcasing a combination of modern, colorful, sleek looks with Tudor-esque details. Fans of clever details will not be disappointed — look out for chokers on the wives who were beheaded and pants on the lone survivor (gasp!).
Changing the Narrative
"Six" puts a feminist spin on history we can all get behind with a diverse cast that shares an amazing and empowering talent. You’ll no doubt identify with at least one of the queens throughout the show (if not all six).
