Blake Shelton at Simmons Bank Arena // Time for a little boot-scootin'. The platinum-selling country singer and co-star of "The Voice" is bringing his "Back to the Honky Tonk" tour to NLR showcasing his hits and latest releases which, according to Billboard, are "soaked in '90s country vibes." Pink Floyd Laser Spectacular at the Robinson Center // And now for something completely different. This mind-bending multimedia show features high-powered lasers, video projections and more "cutting-edge effects" all set to the sounds of Pink Floyd. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Learn more here.

 

Friday, March 17

St. Patrick's Day in Little Rock // Time to take part in a wee bit of fun around the city. Some of your local haunts are celebrating throughout the day. Here's where to pop in:

The World's Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Hot Springs // Covering a brief 98 feet, this parade will make its way down Bridge Street with plenty of sights to make up for its brevity. Starting the parade is actor Christopher McDonald (aka Shooter McGavin himself), while Justin Moore serves as grand marshal. Capping off the night is a free concert from The Molly Ringwalds, and don't forget Village People on Saturday night. Friday's festivities begin at 3 p.m, and the parade starts at 6:30 p.m. Learn more here.

Third Friday Art Walk in Argenta // Let's go on a walk, everybody. Lace up your comfy shoes because this monthly walk invites you to stroll through the Argenta Arts District’s lineup of special exhibits and events. Highlights include hands-on activities at The Hub, a Meikel Church showcase at Argenta Counseling and Wellness, a RayLove Threads pop-up at Bang-Up Betty and a Sandra Marson exhibit opening at Argenta Library. Saturday, March 18

Turkish Food Fair at 1501 Market St. // If you've been looking for a way to lend a hand to victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria, here's your chance. This fair is hosted by the Arkansas Culture and Dialog Center (formerly the Raindrop Turkish House), and offers a tasty spread of Turkish eats with all proceeds going to relief efforts. Cult Classic Movies at Ron Robinson Theater // The popcorn is flowing once again at the downtown theater, and the lineups keep catching our eye. Up first is "Darkman" on Thursday, followed by "Army of Darkness" on Friday and closing out with an interactive screening of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" on Saturday. "Chicago" at the Robinson Center // Time for the razzle dazzle.
