First Thursday Shop & Sip in Hillcrest // It’s the first Thursday of the month, and you know what that means — time to get your Hillcrest shop 'n' sip on. Soak up the Kavanaugh vibes while you take advantage of the specials, later hours and extra fun, like live music from Lark in the Morning at Hillcrest Liquor and Fine Wines. Carp // Next up in this CALS speaker series, Carp will discuss his book "The Great Fire of 1776: A Lost Story of the American Revolution," an investigation that "illuminates old mysteries in fluent, spellbinding prose." SoMa After Dark on South Main Street // Friday's fun is south of 630. This monthly neighborhood bash features area businesses offering later hours and special activities. Highlights this month include M2 Gallery's 16-year anniversary bash, the March bazaar at The Bernice Garden, a Paper Hearts storytime at Community Bakery and origami at Argenta Bead Company. Make-A-Wish Fundraiser at Tacos 4 Life // New month, same dependency on tacos — except this time, they're doing double the good. This Saturday night, all Tacos 4 Life locations in Arkansas will donate 20% of proceeds to the Mid-South chapter of Make-A-Wish (and that's on top of the restaurant's everyday donations to Feed My Starving Children). Just stop by from 5-9 p.m. and be sure to mention the fundraiser. 

Ovation! Gala at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre // It's a whole new era. The Rep has reimagined its annual black-tie gala Saints & Sinners (last held in 2018) to become this inaugural event filled with glitz, glam, live entertainment, luxury auctions and much more. "Spring is Near" at St. Edward Catholic Church // The Arkansas Chamber Singers are dedicated to performing the best of classical choral repertoire, and this seasonal program does just that by featuring selections from Benjamin Britten, Leonard Bernstein and others. Little Rock Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K & 10K // This is it, folks. If you were putting off your last few miles by reading this list, your luck’s run out. Spanning two days and with the theme "Peace, Love and Little Rock", the kids marathon, 5K and 10K will take place Saturday morning, with the marathon and half marathon taking off Sunday morning.
