From tinkerers to creators to crafters to makers, all hands-on learners can benefit from attending the 2022 Tinkerfest at the Museum of Discovery, no matter your age.

Now in its 11th year, the annual fun-filled event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Tinkerfest is designed to spark curiosity and inspire creativity for those looking to explore how things work. Guests can try out more than 40 projects, hobbies and crafts including:

  • robot competitions
  • car take-aparts
  • circuits
  • drone demonstrations
  • Lego build challenges
  • water play
  • parachute props
  • fix a flat
  • chalk mural
  • magnet play
  • tiny throwing wheel pottery

There will be many more activities for the whole family, plus a sensory station with activities for neurodivergent guests in a calming and soothing environment. 

Tinkerfest events are included in the museum’s daily admission: $10 for adults, $8 for children ages 1-12 and free for infants younger than 1. Seniors, teachers, Little Rock city employees and active and retired military are admitted for $8.
