First Thursday Shop & Sip in Hillcrest // It’s the first Thursday of the month, and you know what that means — time to get your Hillcrest shop 'n' sip on. Soak up the Kavanaugh vibes while you take advantage of the specials, later hours and extra fun, like a bluegrass concert from The Gravel Yard at Hillcrest Liquor & Wine. Summer "Jam" Night Market at the St. Joseph Farm Stand // After successfully kicking off its night market series last month, this St. Joseph Center of Arkansas event is back with more summer sweetness. The Art Department: Emily Wood at the Thea Foundation // The popular series for Thea is back on the calendar. At this show opening, take in the work of Little Rock artist Emily Moll Wood through her exhibit "Down the Line." The art starts at 5:30 p.m. Learn more here.

SoMa After Dark on South Main Street // ICYMI, this neighborhood bash made its return last month with area businesses offering later hours and activities tailored to their specialties. Highlights this month include the August bazaar at The Bernice Garden. Learn more here.
Faulkner Chamber Music Festival at UA-PTC CHARTS // If you missed the first performance on Tuesday, never fear. Friday's concert with the Chamber Music Society of Little Rock features Bela Bartók's String Quartet No. 2 and Johannes Brahms' String Quintet No. 2 in G Major. "Manos: The Hands of Fate" at Ron Robinson Theater // Talk about a cult classic. CALS' popular BingoFlix series is back, offering prizes to viewers who can fill up their bingo cards with cheesy, "so-bad-they’re-good" movie cliches. Paper Hearts Birthday Bash at The Bernice Garden // Let's try this again, shall we? The rain postponed this celebratory pop-up last weekend, but the anniversary fun is back on for Saturday. Paper Hearts is (book)marking the occasion with a lineup of vendors that includes Flake Baby Pastry, The Root Cafe, Posse Paper Goods, Gold & Sage Jewelry and more, plus live music and plenty of books. Kevin Hart at Simmons Bank Arena // From blockbuster movies to sold-out arenas, Kevin Hart is just about everywhere these days, and that goes for North Little Rock, too.
