Thursday, Aug. 4
First Thursday Shop & Sip in Hillcrest // It’s the first Thursday of the month, and you know what that means — time to get your Hillcrest shop 'n' sip on. Soak up the Kavanaugh vibes while you take advantage of the specials, later hours and extra fun, like a bluegrass concert from The Gravel Yard at Hillcrest Liquor & Wine. The fun runs 5-8 p.m. Learn more here.
Friday, Aug. 5
Summer "Jam" Night Market at the St. Joseph Farm Stand // After successfully kicking off its night market series last month, this St. Joseph Center of Arkansas event is back with more summer sweetness. Expect an evening full of food trucks, local produce, vendors and live music. It kicks off at 5 p.m. Learn more here.
The Art Department: Emily Wood at the Thea Foundation // The popular series for Thea is back on the calendar. At this show opening, take in the work of Little Rock artist Emily Moll Wood through her exhibit "Down the Line." The art starts at 5:30 p.m. Learn more here.
Keep the art coming with our gallery guide to Little Rock.

Faulkner Chamber Music Festival at UA-PTC CHARTS // If you missed the first performance on Tuesday, never fear. Friday's concert with the Chamber Music Society of Little Rock features Bela Bartók's String Quartet No. 2 and Johannes Brahms' String Quintet No. 2 in G Major. The show starts at 7 p.m. Learn more here. Bonus: There's also a student recital on Sunday at 3 p.m.
"Manos: The Hands of Fate" at Ron Robinson Theater // Talk about a cult classic. CALS' popular BingoFlix series is back, offering prizes to viewers who can fill up their bingo cards with cheesy, "so-bad-they’re-good" movie cliches. This 1966 flick proves a low-budget horror film can certainly be remembered decades later, though maybe not for the reasons the filmmakers intended. Showtime is 7 p.m. Learn more here.
Saturday, Aug. 6
Death by 5K at Burns Park // Honestly, there are worse ways to go. This endurance race challenges runners to complete 10 consecutive 5Ks, each starting every two and a half hours. It starts and ends at the rugby field, just don't forget your headlamp. Go time is 8 a.m. Learn more here.
Don't stop there: Summer Runs to Have on Your Radar
