The White Water Tavern has long been a favorite for locals, and now it's getting some long-coming upgrades.

According to our sister publication Arkansas Business, the bar and venue at 2500 W. Seventh St. has plans to install a new outdoor beer garden. The space will be set behind the tavern and will be able to seat approximately 75 customers. Plans also include a stage to help expand the tavern's ever-growing concert lineup.

The beer garden is currently on track to open this fall.

If you've been to White Water Tavern lately, you've likely noticed a host of updates like expanded beer and spirits offerings, a more extensive menu from the kitchen, upgraded sound equipment and structure fixes.

All of this comes from new owners Natalee Miller and Travis Hill, who took the reins in 2021 to help save the tavern from pandemic-related woes. Read about the history of White Water and the plans for its future in this week's Arkansas Business cover story.
