Not much news has come from Breckenridge Village in recent years, but that changes today as the shopping center at 10301 N. Rodney Parham Road has some exciting new owners with big plans.

The group KBK-Breck LLC is the official new owner of the space and includes the likes of the Keet family, The Kelley Group, Dale V. "Bo" Briggs and the Bodnar Group out of Nashville. The Keets are best known for their company JTJ Restaurants, which is behind popular restaurants such as Petit & Keet, Cypress Social and local branches of Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe and Waldo's Chicken & Beer.

According to JTJ Restaurants Chairman Jim Keet, the revamped Breckenridge Village will feature at least four restaurants, which, by the looks of the renderings, includes another Waldo's location.

"The group intends to bring back the glory days of Breckenridge and revitalize it with a diverse combination of restaurants and other retail spaces," Keet says.

Breckenridge Village is located at the intersection of Rodney Parham and I-430 and is currently home to Mt Fuji, The Wonder Place, Eat My Catfish, The Looney Bin and others.

Redesigns are already under way and include a new courtyard with amphitheater-style seating.

"I'm excited to have the opportunity to invest with experienced restaurateurs that understand the food and entertainment business," says Hank Kelley of The Kelley Group "They can help guide us in the redevelopment of this property."

A full list of new tenants, as well as a new name for the center, have yet to be announced.
