Nothing hits the spot quite like a good old-fashioned home-cooked meal. If you love Southern and Cajun-inspired cuisine cooked from scratch, try out the new YGFBFKitchen (Your Girlfriend’s Best Friend’s Kitchen) in west Little Rock.
The second home of the popular food truck turned restaurant — the first location is in Conway — is set in the former Bone’s Chophouse at 27 Rahling Circle. A new full menu will be offered alongside expanded drink specials and a date night/special occasion room. It will be the same delicious food, great quality and service in an upgraded atmosphere.
“We are so excited about our new Little Rock location and hope the locals come to try us out for some good Southern comfort foods,” says MaryAnn Strange, owner and head chef of YGFBFKitchen. “Chenal Valley is a growing area with so many great businesses, plus the restaurant is in an amazing building!”
YGFBFKitchen Restaurant and Catering began as a passion to bring family and friends an alternative to fast food eating. It started small with pop-ups around the city, grew to a food truck that sold out daily and eventually outgrew two different buildings. The menu features Southern favorites and best-selling dishes like blackened Cajun alfredo pasta, fresh gumbo, grits and southern fried chicken and very berry waffles.
The restaurant is currently in its soft open phase, but an official grand opening date is set for May 16. Operating hours are 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. Friday-Saturday and 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Sunday (including brunch).
