It’s about time to pop the confetti and champagne. 2023 is right around the corner, and with it comes all kinds of local events to ring in the new year for every type of partier.

While it may not be Times Square in NYC, Little Rock has many places to celebrate the coming year that are just as fun and glitzy. Here are some options for a night (or afternoon) to remember:

 

New Year’s Eve 2022 at the Little Rock Zoo’s GloWild!

Start 2023 off with a bright and beautiful night at the Little Rock Zoo. Café Africa will transform into the wildest New Year’s Eve party with a live DJ, complimentary party favors, games and prizes. The whole family will enjoy festive lantern and light decorations from the GloWild! season before the dance party begins at 5:30 p.m.

New Year’s Eve Extravaganza at The Rep

Countdown to the new year with an exclusive performance of “Guys & Dolls,” an iconic oddball romantic musical comedy, at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre. With two ticket options available, including one with a VIP experience, the night will end with a "debaucherous" after-party for all.

New Year’s Eve at The Rail Yard

Bring the whole family out for an early day party at The Rail Yard on Dec. 31. Beginning at 11 a.m., the early celebration will include a grand opening party for Smoked Out Eats, the newest barbeque addition. There will also be live music, drink specials, games and fire pits to keep the kids warm.

Noon Year’s Eve Ball Drop at Bark Bar

Bring your furry friends to Bark Bar on Dec. 31 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. for some New Year's fun. Tons of tennis balls will be dropped at noon from their second floor balcony and every ball wins a prize for your pup. Admission is free for annual members. Tickets are $5 for one human and $5 for one dog.

New Year’s Eve Dinner & Masquerade Party at Petit & Keet

Send off 2022 with a delicious pre-fixe dinner at Petit & Keet on Dec. 30 and 31. Afterward, finish the night strong at the late-night masquerade party with themed drinks, hors d’oeuvres and a bubbly toast at midnight.

'90s Country New Year’s Eve Party at The Hall

Boot scoot and boogie into the new year at The Hall’s NYE party. The '90s-themed night will include country tunes by Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney, Shania Twain and more all played by Mustache The Band. A massive balloon drop will happen at midnight and will include a special golden balloon that includes two tickets per month to any show at The Hall.

Noon Year’s Eve at the Museum of Discovery

For those with kiddos who don’t want to stay up all night, the Museum of Discovery is ringing in the “Noon Year” at 12 p.m. on Dec. 31. There will be kid-friendly activities from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., and for the first time this year, a VIS (very important scientist) ticket option that includes a visit from a special animal friend and a sparkling cider toast.

Holiday Tea Stand with Abbi’s Teas & Things

Guess who’s back! Abbi’s Teas & Things is hosting a special pop-up on New Year’s Eve at the Old Mill Bread Bakery & Cafe from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. The tea stand will have loose-leaf teas and hot tea to keep you warm. Don’t forget to head inside the bakery for a cranberry pecan scone and brownie to start 2023 off sweet.

Noon Year’s & New Year’s Eve Party at CALS

Celebrate the new year with your little ones by taking them to a party at the Central Arkansas Library System. From 11:30 a.m. - 12 p.m., there will be stories, songs and fun activities for kids ages 0 to 5. Then from 4-5 p.m., say goodbye to the old and ring in the new with crafts, games and a countdown for kids ages 5 to 12.

New Year’s Eve at South on Main

The Rodney Block Collective will ring in 2023 with a live music performance all evening from 8:30 p.m. - 12:15 a.m. at South on Main. Along with delicious Southern bites and good music, there will also be a bubbly champagne toast to cheers the new year. Tickets are $75 per person.

Trio’s New Year’s Eve Celebration

Join Trio’s as they rock around the clock with live entertainment from Miss Pinky on New Year’s Eve, and enjoy a yummy meal before you raise a glass to 2023. Admission is $35 and includes live music and a champagne toast. Seating is very limited, so be sure to call in advance.
