The Quapaw Quarter Association is launching a new event titled The Holiday Social on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 5 p.m.

“Historic homes of the Quapaw Quarter are a treat to see during the holidays and their beautiful architecture is the perfect setting for seasonal decorations,” says QQA executive director Patricia Blick.

Visitors can join the QQA to visit three historic houses decorated for the holidays and enjoy the community, food and drinks inside each one. The houses on tour are the Hornibrook House: The Empress of Little Rock (2120 S. Louisiana St.), The Scull House (2300 S. State St.) and The Marshall House (2009 S. Arch St.).

The Holiday Social will be limited to 120 participants and will rotate through the homes in groups. Once all three houses have been visited, attendees will meet at the Governor’s Mansion for champagne, dessert, entertainment by The Rodney Block Collective and a silent auction featuring art by Carla Davis, John Kushmaul and Celia Storey.

Laura Sergeant and Ashli Ahrens are co-chairing the event and have been working with each homeowner to develop unique cocktails and menus. Plus, at the end of the evening, every attendee will receive a special keepsake.

Tickets to The Holiday Social can be purchased on the QQA website or by calling 501.371.0075 ext. 3. Funds raised will support the work of the QQA. Attendees will need to show proof of vaccination when they check in.
