MISSION

Founded in 1962, Economics Arkansas equips pre-K-12 teachers with standards-based resources and professional development to teach economics and personal finance. By teaching teachers, who in turn teach students, we maximize our impact exponentially.

We use project-based, grade-appropriate, innovative methods so that Arkansas students can master an understanding of economics and personal finance and apply that knowledge for success in our free-market economy.

Economics Arkansas gives teachers the tools and resources to confidently teach economics in the classroom – changing the lives of students from pre-K through high school.

Our goal is for students to know how our world works so that they understand how to become engaged and responsible citizens, consumers and members of the workforce.

The Economics Arkansas Foundation was launched in 2016 to ensure the organization’s long-term viability.
