CHI St. Vincent makes the healing presence of God known in the world by improving the health of the people it serves, especially those who are vulnerable, while it advances social justice for all.
CHI St. Vincent is a vibrant health care ministry with a legacy dating back to 1888 when the Sisters of Mercy in Hot Springs and the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth in Little Rock answered a call — a call to help a community in need.
The partnership between the sisters and one local family – the Hagers – created the first hospital in Arkansas, now known as CHI St. Vincent Infirmary. The Infirmary stands as a beacon of hope for generations of Arkansas families. Now, 133 years later, a new vision can be realized through the generosity of many to meet the changing needs of the community and create a healthier future for the people of Arkansas and beyond.
CHI St. Vincent Foundation was founded in 1979. The Foundation is resolute in its commitment to providing support for the Arkansas ministry. The Foundation is inspired by faith, driven by innovation and powered by humanity.
CHI St. Vincent understands how the power of one can cause a ripple effect on the community. The Infirmary is St. Vincent Strong, thanks to a community of donors who demonstrate human kindness with their generous support. Together, both are making a real impact on the health of the people around us.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
CHI St. Vincent volunteers assist hospital staff and serve as liaisons for patients and families. Volunteers live out the hospital’s core values of compassion, inclusion, integrity, excellence and collaboration. Whatever your interests are, you’ll find volunteer opportunities to match your talents and availability.
