On Sunday, Sept. 11, 64 food trucks and 50-plus other vendors and entertainers will be rolling into downtown Little Rock from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. for the 11th annual Main Street Food Truck Festival.

The Main Street Food Truck Festival is the largest free, annual, public event in downtown Little Rock. The award-winning festival boasts cuisines from all over the world, live music and entertainment, retail, arts and craft vendors, children's activities and so much more.

Here are 10 things to know about this year's festival:

1. No cost. The festival is free. There are no tickets, and you can come and go as you please.

2. Family- and pet-friendly. Bring your entire family, including four-legged members, to enjoy the food and fresh air along Main Street.

3. Endless samples. The Main Street Food Truck Festival requests its food trucks to offer a sample size item that should cost no more than $6. That way you can save cash while hitting more trucks and without filling up or wasting extra food.

4. Arts and crafts. When you need a moment to digest, the 500 block of Main will be bursting with local artisans and vendors. From handmade jewelry and art to vintage clothing booths and other crafted goods, there will be plenty to bring home beyond a full belly.

5. Quench your thirst. This festival isn’t just about food. There are all kinds of beverages available including beer, seltzer and spirits for those 21 and older. Local brewery Stone’s Throw is even bringing a beer created specifically for the event: Main Street Juice. The hazy IPA, created by Brian and Melissa English, won the Main Street Mash Off for the chance to headline the Stone’s Throw tent.

6. Public Art. The Downtown Little Rock Partnership helps to install public art all around the downtown area, so it’s no surprise its biggest event of the year will include an opportunity for attendees to get creative. Christ Church is kicking off a new art project in the Little Rock Tech Park parking lot that will demonstrate the connection we all share through photos and words.

7. Cash and cards accepted. Cash and card payments will be accepted by all festival vendors. Pro tip: Large bills can be hard for trucks to break. Paying in singles and smaller bills helps the lines move quicker (and the trucks appreciate it). There will be a Centennial Bank Mobile ATM on-site.

8. A whole plaza dedicated to Little Rock heroes. While Main Street will be full of food trucks, the parking lot with the wagon mural at the corner of Capitol and Main will be brimming with much larger vehicles. Kids can meet and interact with first responders and check out their heavy equipment at the MSFTF Hero Zone.

9. Music. The variety of foods will be complemented by musical performances for every taste. Enjoy 28 hours of live music throughout the day at busker stations all around the festival. You can also watch aerial ballet, Irish dance, DJs, gospel singers and much more while you chow down.

10. Plan ahead and get there early. Before you go, visit the festival website for a map, a list of participating food trucks and a list of all other vendors and entertainers that will be present at the 11th annual Main Street Food Truck Festival.

See you downtown! In the meantime, keep up with the fest on Instagram and Facebook
