How can acupuncture help me?
Chinese medicine, which includes acupuncture, herbs, cupping and tai chi, is a full system of medicine which can be used on its own or to support Western medicine treatments. The majority of my patients come to me for pain and/or stress. Acupuncture is very effective in treating any type of pain, from migraines down to plantar fasciitis. I treat all patients for stress with just a few ear needles. It is amazing how quickly an acupuncture treatment can reduce stress. It's great for anxiety and PTSD. I also treat many female-specific issues and counsel my patients on meditation and proper diet.

What type of women's issues are addressed?
The two main female issues I treat are menopausal (hot flashes/night sweats) and infertility. Generally, it takes just a few treatments to reduce hot flashes in both frequency and severity. For infertility, I have had very good success in helping women. The treatments can be used alone or to support procedures like IVF and IUI. Many OB/GYNs and other doctors refer their patients to me because of proven clinical effectiveness. Difficult and painful periods can also be helped.

What is your experience?
I have been a licensed practitioner for 19 years. I graduated from a U.S. four-year program, then interned at length in Shanghai, China. After I started my practice, I studied for 10 years with a Taiwanese Balance Method Acupuncture master.
