As we near the close of a truly bizarre year, it’s understandably challenging to fully embrace the holiday spirit. We aren’t strangers to putting traditions on hold at this point, but that doesn’t ease the sting of knowing that our metro’s beloved annual Holiday House isn’t making the cut in 2020. Luckily, the Junior League of Little Rock already has a pandemic-friendly alternative in store: Sleigh Bell Soirée. This cyber celebration is just what the doctor ordered.
Sleigh Bell Soirée kicks off on Wednesday, Nov. 11. Four days of interactive virtual holiday experiences and workshops with local experts await, along with a stellar silent auction. Here’s what to expect:
Wednesday - Mistletoe & Mixology: Come one, come all, cocktail connoisseurs and novices alike. Colonial Wines & Spirits is spreading the holiday cheer with a virtual cocktail class.
Thursday - Home for the Holidays: What’s a holiday season without door decor? The pros at Tipton & Hurst will walk you through this virtual wreath-making course.
Friday - Charcuterie Cheer: This is the kind of relevant snacking content we need. Join Dished by Drea for a virtual lesson in the art of charcuterie.
Saturday - Santa’s Workshop: DavisDrew is bringing the family-friendly fun with virtual craft time for children. A break from entertaining the little ones? Don’t mind if we do.
Silent Auction: The bidding will be ongoing from Nov. 11-14, and JLLR has already secured a fabulous lineup. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the must-have items you'll see:
Cabo stay - $7,000 value
David Yurman bracelet provided by Sissy’s Log Cabin - $2,250 value
Pheasant hunt at Stan Jones Mallard Lodge - $700 value
Proceeds from the Sleigh Bell Soirée will benefit local businesses and JLLR's work in the community. More info and tickets to the daily virtual festivities are available here. For updates and more details, follow JLLR on Facebook and Instagram.
