There's a lot to love about the Arkansas Delta — the sweeping rice fields, the mighty Mississippi River and, of course, the food. Tamales and barbecue are just a few of the Delta delicacies we know and love. Thanks to the Historic Arkansas Museum (HAM), we're getting a little taste of the Delta delivered curbside on July 16.

HAM's History is Served event will feature cuisine from Chef Gilbert Alaquinez of The Lab Foodtruck, a Little Rock-based Latin/Asian food truck. The first of many History is Served events, the kick-off event is serving up modern takes on iconic Delta dishes as an entrée into black entrepreneurship, generational transfer and food heritage.

The four-course dinners will be available for curbside pickup at the museum between 4-6 p.m., followed by a Zoom program with the chef and Anne Martin, author of "Delta Hot Tamales: History, Stories, and Recipes" that can be viewed that night or at a later date.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online here. For more info, head to HAM's website or follow along on Facebook
