One of fashion's most fun nights had to be postponed back in March, but the Easterseals annual Fashion Event is making a stylish comeback, completely online. Originally scheduled for March 12, the Easterseals Fashion Event will now take place on Thursday, June 25, at 7 p.m.
The format will be very similar to Fashion Events of the past, but instead of packing into the State House Convention Center, folks will be live-streaming from home. Easterseals children and adults will be showcased along with fabulous clothing from local shops.
While the event doesn't kick off until June 25, silent auction items are open for bidding now until the close of the event. Live auction items (the big, can't-miss items) will be available to bid on from 7-9 p.m. on the night of the event.
All bidding will take place via the auction portal, so you’ll want to bookmark the page. You can bid via your smartphone, tablet or computer and will receive text messages throughout letting you know the progress of your items you’re bidding on and other pertinent information.
If raffles are more your thing, this year's raffle prizes will include a PK Grill and a John Hardy bracelet from Roberson's Fine Jewelry. Raffle tickets are $5 or 1 ticket and $20 for 5 tickets. Good luck!
In light of the coronavirus and its effects on the nonprofit, Easterseals has set a fundraising goal of $25,000 for this year's event. And because the event has gone virtual, all donations are 100% tax-deductible.
