Full Out Barre has gone virtual! Like other businesses, the local fitness studio has had to make adjustments amid coronavirus concerns, and now members are able to sweat and connect together safely and on their own schedule using Zoom video conferencing.

And if you’ve never tried FOB before, now is the time to give it a shot at home. We spoke with the team at FOB to help walk you through the process.

What will class be like?

Class format will be the same as if we were in the studio. We’ll move from high intensity to medium intensity during class. Expect your heart rate to go up and down for maximum calorie burn. One difference will be that in our virtual class there will be two instructors to help guide you through the exercises and cheer you on!

You’ll be emailed a link to join the class 30 minutes before class starts, and we encourage you to join early and connect with your FOB tribe!

We will mute everyone as soon as the class starts so that all you can hear is the music and instructors.

We want to see you! If you are comfortable, enable the video option and share your beautiful face with us. We want to be able to see you during your workout so we can cheer you on just like we do in class!

Of course, if you prefer to stay hidden, that’s fine, too. We want you to be comfortable.

What if I don’t have weights and equipment at home?

No problem! You can use items you have at home. Full water bottles or canned goods work great as weights, paper plates make great substitutes for gliders and a dining room chair or your kitchen counter can be used as a bar.

What is Zoom and how does it work?

Zoom is a web-based video conferencing tool with desktop and mobile options that allows users to meet online, with or without video.

Just download the Zoom app on your phone, tablet or laptop. If you have an Apple TV, you should be able to mirror your device to your TV to view us on a big screen. We recommend signing in 10-15 minutes before class begins in case there are technical issues.

Love this! Can I use my current membership?

Yes! if you are a current member with an unlimited membership, you will have access to as many of these virtual classes as you would like. If you have a current class package, each virtual class will use one of your classes.
