The Jimmerson Creek Bridge offers cyclists a connection between the nearby Big Dam Bridge and Two Rivers Park in west Little Rock.

Calling all cyclists.

Registration for the 15th Annual Big Dam Bridge 100, Arkansas’ largest cycling event, is now open. The race is slated for Sept. 26 and will take cyclists on a winding route through central Arkansas, with optional routes that range from 15-105 miles. Rider categories span all skill levels and include solo and tandem cyclists and even children accompanying an adult.

The ride attracts approximately 3,500 cyclists each year from around world. In 2019, 36% of cyclists who registered were first-time participants and 40% were from outside the state.

“The experience this ride offers continues to spark interest and participation from cyclists across the region, state and country,” said event director Bruce Dunn. “Arkansas’ natural beauty and diverse landscape provide a backdrop that visitors won’t find in many other locations. We also can’t help but believe that the namesake of this event also is an attraction for newcomers.”
