It's the start of a new decade and the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra isn't slowing down anytime soon.

Deep in its current 2019-2020 season, the ASO's River Rhapsodies Chamber Music Series will hold its next show, "Musical Images," on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at 7 p.m. at the Clinton Presidential Center.

"Musical Images" will feature the ASO’s Quapaw String Quartet and others to perform pieces such as Golijov’s "Tenebrae," Kinan Azmeh’s "The Fence, the Rooftop, and the Distant Sea" and  Paul Reade’s Suite from "The Victorian Kitchen Garden."

River Rhapsodies is designed to showcase ASO musicians and guest artists in small ensembles with concerts held in the intimate setting of the Great Hall, overlooking the Arkansas River and downtown Little Rock.

Following the Jan. 28 show, River Rhapsodies will round out the season with concerts on March 3, April 21 and May 5. Get more details on the chamber music series here.
