MISSION
The CALL was founded in 2007 to educate, equip and encourage the Christian community to provide a future and hope for children in foster care, and is active in 49 counties. The CALL works in partnership with the Arkansas Division of Children and Family Services. In 2018, 1,050 families serving through The CALL cared for 3,945 children and youth in care.
Currently, The CALL has 700 available foster homes and 150 adoptive homes in Arkansas. The vision of The CALL is “no waiting children.” Its goal is “more than enough” foster families in every county so traumatized children and youth can be placed with local families who advocate for their unique needs.
FUNDRAISERS AND EVENTS
The CALL is led by a dedicated staff who works with more than 500 volunteers across Arkansas. These volunteers train and equip families with the knowledge and skills they need to care for foster children and youth. Funds raised provide training and support to foster and adoptive families.
The CALL’s recruitment and support services are provided at no cost to the state of Arkansas or prospective families.
• $250 provides training for a prospective foster family.
• $500 provides a family for a child or youth in foster care.
• $5,000 brings The CALL to one new county in Arkansas.
