MISSION
There are stories in the news every day about children who are neglected, sexually abused and physically harmed. Children’s Advocacy Centers (CAC) support child abuse victims and their families by providing services at no cost to the victim to create hope and healing.
The child-centered services include forensic interviews, advocacy for the child and family, medical exams by sexual abuse nurse examiners, trauma-based mental health therapy, education and prevention.
The CAC of Arkansas supports 17 centers and seven satellite locations serving the entire state. Of the more than 6,000 children served in 2018, 72% were sexually abused.
GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
• Individual donations impact services for child abuse victims statewide. Large or small donations greatly affect the ability to serve Arkansas’ most vulnerable children.
• Sponsorships for the Arkansas Woman of Inspiration event range from $1,500-$25,000 to benefit CACs statewide and support technical assistance.
• Volunteerism is the heart of this organization. Local CACs and the state chapter in Little Rock offer a variety of ways to get involved.
• Donate to local CACs. Community support is vital to these facilities. Visit the website for centers and needs in your area.
