A frightfully fun new run is coming to town.

The Halloween Half is set to hit the North Shore Riverwalk in North Little Rock on Saturday, Oct. 19, and it's bringing a whole lot of monsters with it.

Goblins and ghouls of all varieties are invited to join one of two timed courses — the half marathon (13.1 miles) or 5K (3.1 miles) — and all ages are invited to join the spooky fun.

Pets and strollers are not allowed on the course, but you're more than welcome to "walk or lurch or creep" your way to the finish line. And yes, costumes are very much encouraged.

Race participants will receive a custom finisher's medal, a shirt and access to all the race day festivities. The half starts at 7 a.m. and the 5K kicks off at 9 a.m.

Registration for The Halloween Half is open now. Click here to get in on the howlin' good times.
