The nonprofit is back and ready to drive away hunger once again.
The organization’s trucks rescue 13,000 pounds of nutritious leftover food a day from local restaurants, grocery stores and other sources.
Potluck Food Rescue is gearing up for its annual fundraising event, Driving Away Hunger, from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 30 at The Rail Yard.
This year's event will feature delicious food from Count Porkula, Trio's, South on Main, Ciao Baci, Taziki's, Petit & Keet and Cypress Social, as well as live music from The Hounds.
Driving Away Hunger serves to raise money for Potluck Food Rescue's ongoing efforts to save good food from being wasted and use it to feed hungry people in Arkansas. Tickets are $75 per person at the door, by phone at 501.371.0303 or you can buy them online.
