The Ronald McDonald House Golf Scramble is celebrating its 26th year — and this year, event chair Walter "Jiggs" Ramsey has a little something special up his sleeve.
The scramble will be held on Monday, Sept. 23, at Pleasant Valley Country Club. New this year will be the pre-party "A Night in Vegas" event on Sunday, Sept. 22, at McLarty Ford Lincoln. The evening will include a happy hour pull, libations, a raffle, casino chips and a passed buffet of bite-sized hors d'oeuvres.
All of the proceeds from the event go toward keeping out-of-town families close to their children being treated at area hospitals. The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas provide families with a private room, warm meals, a playground and toy rooms, as well as the comfort found from the support of other families who are experiencing similar, challenging situations.
