Third Thursday in The Heights: It's like pregaming for the weekend with a local twist. During this monthly event, stores in The Heights extend hours until 8 p.m., and shoppers enjoy business open houses, music, eats and drinks, sales and specials. Alley Party on West Sixth Street: It's back, y'all. The Downtown Little Rock Partnership event series continues, bringing parties to the "tucked away portions of downtown." This time the fun takes place on the edge of the Creative Corridor downtown and includes live music from The Going Jessies and craft beer from Stone's Throw Brewing. Summer Stroll through Stifft Station: Comfy shoes on deck. This inaugural event is all about building community as folks are invited to stroll the streets and meet all the neighbors. There will be pit stops with eats and drinks, including happy hour at Stone's Throw Taproom, giveaways at Stifft Station Gifts and the 8th Annual Summer Soulstice Party at White Water Tavern. "Willy Wonka Jr." Opening Night at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre: You and your sweet tooth just got a golden ticket. The Rep's Education Department is putting on its first big summer show and doing so on The Rep's big stage. See all your favorite characters and learn more of their stories in this musical based on Roald Dahl's classic "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." Vintage and Craft Market at The Bernice Garden: Formerly known as the South Main Vintage Market, the popular pop-up will return to the garden featuring vintage items of all kinds, along with artists, jewelers, music, food and more. Doga at Bark Bar: Dog + yoga = doga. Now, that's some math we can get behind. Party With a Heart, a local nonprofit dedicated to raising funds for other nonprofits, is hosting a one-hour, dog-friendly yoga sesh with instructor Stacey Margaret Jones. Proceeds from this event will go to PWAH's 2019 nonprofit partner Arkansas Paws in Prison, and will help launch its new program in the women's unit at McPherson Prison in Newport. Ninth Anniversary at Rock Town Distillery: We'll drink to this. Arkansas' first legal distillery since Prohibition is marking its with a whole lot of goodness in store for friends and supporters. Expect distillery tours, barbecue, cocktails, craft beer and Rock Town's 9th Anniversary Whiskey. There's also a seated tasting on the schedule. Learn more about that here. Grand Opening at Control Records: This one's for you, vinyl lovers. Control has been popping up all over the metro for the last year, and now they finally get their own digs in Hillcrest. Located at 612 Kavanaugh Blvd. (across from Proof), the shop's grand opening bash includes live music, giveaways, a handful of DJs and your first glimpse of the new space.
